Dedicated to Raising Awareness and Funds for Equines in Need

Slide6

We know it’s too hot to be thinking about snow…but Bluebonnet Equine Humane Society is having a busy summer helping needy horses. They’ve recently taken in several emaciated horses from neglect cases, retired recipient mares from a breeding facility, owner surrendered horses, and horses transferred from another organization. These horses are expensive to rehabilitate, feed, train, and rehome – and Bluebonnet needs your support to help grant the wish of all these horses – to be cared for, to be fed, to be safe.

Fundraising is the main focus of Special Horses, although we also help by creating brochures and flyers and assisting with grants. The money raised through online auctions and other events goes directly to equine welfare organizations that provide rescue, rehabilitation, and sanctuary for equines in need. Your donations and contributions are greatly appreciated.

Special Horses’s 2016 goal is to raise $15,000 for equine rescues. We are 44% there!

14066458_10155070017239989_4602610344736704008_oTrue Innocents Equine Rescue is a little short of funds to order a half load of hay. A half load will cost $2,800. Any help would be greatly appreciated. We are hoping to not have to deplete our Emergency Fund in order to get good hay. We could buy a lesser quality and a little bit lower price, but it usually means having to feed more which means the horses go through it more quickly.
