South Jersey Horse Rescue in Egg Harbor City, NJ, discovered that the protected land they rent for the rescue was being sold out from under them because the owner failed to pay the mortgage - even though SJHR faithfully paid their rent. They were supposed to be offered first right of refusal, and were not. Several people are helping them try and purchase the property outright. Special Horses held this fundraiser to help with ongoing costs since efforts were understandably focused on buying the farm.
