The Exceller Fund's Farm Stand Set Up by Five Horses — Vinny, Perry, Salt on the Rim, Bassman Dave, and Distant Kid — to Raise Funds for Transporting their Friends, Vinny and Perry, to Tulsa

Recently, two more Exceller Fund retirees - Vinny Goodtimes (Vinny) and Perilous Times (Perry) joined the therapy herd at the Tulsa Boys’ Home where Exceller Fund horses help provide services to teen boys. Transportation for the two boys was just under $4,000.00. Both Vinny and Perry came to The Exceller Fund (TEF) with the intention of rehabbing and rehoming, but both ended up with elusive soundness issues. As a result, they have remained with The Exceller Fund and are now considered permanent retirees.

The Exceller Fund horses are one-for-all-and-all-for-one! So, five horses got together - Vinny, Perry, Salt on the Rim, Bassman Dave, and Distant Kid - and went through everything in the tack room to set up farm stands to sell their wares and help cover the cost of transporting Vinny and Perry to Tulsa.

The Exceller Fund acquires Thoroughbred horses that might otherwise be at risk for neglect or slaughter and works to provide a future beyond the finish line once they have completed their racing careers. In addition to transitioning potential adoptable horses into second careers, sanctuary is provided for those horses in need of retirement.

The Exceller Fund is accredited by the Thoroughbred Aftercare Alliance and has received funding from Thoroughbred Charities of America.
